Charles Vary is a queer artist and image-maker based in Paris, moving fluidly between Montréal, Toronto, New York, and Paris over the past decade. Working as a director, cinematographer, and photographer, Charles brings a distinctive point of view shaped by queer culture, fine arts, and the energy of contemporary fashion.

With a BFA in Photography Studies and Integrated Digital Media from Toronto Metropolitan University and a background as an advertising agency producer, he bridges the worlds of art and commerce with nuance and integrity. His work spans fashion, art, and advertising, with clients including Louis Vuitton, Jean Paul Gaultier, Mugler, Tiffany & Co., Lululemon, Volvo, Nissan, Sephora, EADEM, and collaborations with leading agencies such as Sid Lee, Rethink, and Cossette.

Driven by authenticity and inclusivity, Charles continues to challenge and expand the language of visual culture, creating work that resonates deeply and defies convention.
